fnatic and Natus Vincere have earned a rematch of the Extreme Masters World Championship Finals encounter after beating PinG and mTw, respectively.
Both fnatic and Na´Vi had been highly favoured for their encounters, and managed to deliver in convincing fashion as they required just two maps to move past their respective opponents.
On de_inferno, fnatic took some time to get their game flowing, as the scoreboard showed 8-7 after what had been a very intense first half. However, after the break, the Swedes looked a much improved side, and they conceded just two rounds to win the first map 16-9.
The map that followed, de_dust2, was entirely different, as fnatic started off the better and remained in the driving seat almost the entire map, which they won 16-6 after a 12-3 first-half.
The first map the semi-final between mTw and Na´Vi was played on was de_train, the perfect stage of an AWP duel between Christoffer "Sunde" Sunde and Yegor "markeloff" Markelov, and it ended up being the Danish the stronger man here, although Na´Vi came out comfortably on top 16-8 after winning the first half 10-5 as Terrorist.
On de_dust2, Na´Vi showed how good they are at attacking, being up 10-5 once again at the break, and on the defensive side they made no mistakes as they picked up the first six rounds to make it 2-0.
fnatic and Na´Vi will now contest the Arbalet Cup Europe trophy, while mTw and PinG will play for the bronze here in Stockholm.
